I would imagine its just by chance and also isn't quite fully developed to prevent situations like that, unsure though.

I do have a question as to participating in shows, how do I do that or is it not fully implimented yet?

I know the game is still in development and everything and as far as I know only one person is working on the game but I literally can't do anything, I loved show cattle and I understand this game is relatively new still but I'd like to at least be able to do something on it instead of having error screens pop up trying to breed or even name my cattle.
