Double D, I think if he adds genes/traits to certain breeds for breed character that would be cool and make sense to do. Especially if there are certain breeds known for milking better or fattening better or being more muscular, etc. But I don't think we should have to breed them to be like the "original" because a chi today is nowhere like the old chis. I'm not sure anything is too close to the original from back in the day. And in the ring they aren't judged for that. 

And I agree if they are willing to pay it shouldn't matter. If anything it helps a player learn the game before jumping into breeding for show. Plus you could add a bunch of traits to it so you didn't have players only focusing on one trait. And if players are growing commercial stock that could help show stock players. For example they could buy quality recips that have better conception and milking. Or they could buy a better commercial oriented Angus bull to breed to their first calf Hereford heifers for calving ease, if you can't find a good calving ease hereford you might as well get a good feeder out of first calf heifers.

Either way I like the ideas regardless of playing show cattle or not. They would be handy in this game. 

cloning a steer could also be to bring him back as a bull and use him on cows and/or sell semen on him. But in theory cloning him to make a steer would only work for so long because you'd be breeding cows to make better stock including steers and so would everyone else. 

i think there's a ton of things that are in the works to be added to this game that will make it better than the last and I am excited for this one to get going even if it's not "complete" by the time we have traits we can breed for and cattle we can show. I've just thrown out some ideas that I think would be cool to add to the game.

I thought there was going to be an option for an unlimited amount of cattle? But not it tops out at 10k au. Seemed a little costly for $50 a month but would be worth it if you got 15k head or more  but now it's a little pricey for a cap especially with the amount we would use on showcattle.

I may have mentioned it before but I think cloning could be really cool. Also since you are adding hair some slick shows, blow and goes, and sone "classifying" shows would be cool. So like if it's colorded like a herf it shows as one. The ability to paint so you could take one with a white leg and make it all black.
